The Hashima XR Project
遺産に触れる
開催趣旨
XR（クロスリアリティー）の世界は目まぐるしく進化を続けています。存在していない物や人物を3次元の映像や音で再現し,リアルに知覚できる可能性を追求し、例えば歴史教育や遺産保護に活用されようとしています。The Hashima XR project は日本の近代産業化を牽引した端島炭坑を仮想空間で再現しようと試みます。XR先進地英国から最先端の技術者やデザイナーを招聘し、日英の歴史研究者や遺産保全の活動家を交えて、XR技術の将来と歴史教育 について討論します。
Purpose
The world of XR (Extended Reality) is evolving at a dizzying pace. The Hashima XR project is recreating as a virtual space the coal mining community of Hashima that led the modern industrialization of Japan. The Hashima XR Project Symposium will discuss the future of XR technology and historical education by inviting cutting-edge engineers and designers from the UK, a leader in XR, as well as Japanese and British historical researchers and heritage preservation activists.
